At GoWeb1, we believe that great digital tools can empower organizations to do more good. That’s why we’re proud to shine a spotlight on our recent collaboration with Contact Ministries, a nonprofit organization based in Springfield, Illinois, that provides life-changing services to women and children in crisis.
The Challenge
Contact Ministries has been a vital resource in the community for years, offering emergency shelter, transitional housing, job readiness, and spiritual support. Like many growing nonprofits, they were facing challenges in keeping their digital presence and internal systems aligned with their mission. Their website was outdated, and their donor and volunteer data was hard to manage.
That’s where we came in.
The Website Rebuild: A Fresh, User-Friendly Experience
We started with a full website rebuild. Our design and development teams worked closely with the Contact Ministries leadership to ensure the new site was not only beautiful and responsive, but also easy to navigate for both those seeking help and those looking to give it.
The new site highlights:
-
Clear pathways to learn about programs, volunteer, or donate
-
Mobile-friendly navigation
-
Updated imagery and messaging to reflect the heart of the ministry
-
Seamless integration with giving platforms and contact forms
Strategic Consulting: Organizing for Impact
Beyond the website, GoWeb1 provided strategic consulting to help Contact Ministries reimagine how they organize their donor and volunteer outreach. Together, we mapped out systems for:
-
Donor List Segmentation: We helped categorize supporters by giving history, interests, and engagement level to allow for more personalized communication and improved future fundraising results.
-
Volunteer Action Segmentation: From one-time event helpers to ongoing mentorship roles, we helped define and tag different types of volunteers to streamline onboarding and engagement.
-
Service Communication: We reorganized service pages to make it easier for community members to understand what’s available, who qualifies, and how to get help.
A Mission-Driven Partnership
Our work with Contact Ministries is a great example of what happens when a mission-driven organization and a strategic digital team come together: clarity, connection, and capacity to serve more people.
We’re honored to support Contact Ministries in their mission to restore hope and empower change—and we’re excited to see how these updates help them continue making a difference.
